Are you sick and tired of seeing gas costs continue to rise to where they are almost $4 a gallon? By the day more billions in income are being made by the oilmen, while common folk find it increasingly difficult to put gas in the tank and generally sweat at stretching their budgets to previously unheard of limits. Does a motor vehicle specifically have to run on gasoline, or can it be adapted to another, better way?
Because of the potentially harmful impact on oil profits, numerous promising solutions have not got beyond the testing phase. A simple glance at the gas gauge is enough to make anybody wish for a cheaper way to run their car. A most likely fantasy is cars that run on water – and there have been ads on the internet recently for exactly that. A bad joke – or maybe actuality? This is actually a possibility being pursued by car manufacturers, with future vehicles being powered by hydrogen which originates from water.
We have all observed the devastating effect of the power of uncontrolled water, so it’s no stretch to picture water pressure being used to convert hydrogen and oxygen. Because the public is not aware of cars like this, it seems a dream – but don’t be misled, they exist right now. It took greater than twenty years of advancement before the electric car was prepared for widespread sales to the public. Currently, there is more than a year’s waiting list for the Smart Car of America, which works just on electric energy. There is surely a need to get rid of gas cars for those that run on something else.
There appeared to be a time when gas as well as natural gas were cheap forms of energy, one for the car and the other for the house. Both forms have continually gotten higher, and gas has caused lots of pollution. We need to thank the guys who blew the whistle on the detrimental effects of emissions, the environmentalists, but ironically they get blamed instead. Despite all the insults and taunts cast at them, these guys stuck to their guns and made sure that we continued to have clean air and also water. We have these people to say thanks to for thinking of adding ethanol to gas to make it work cleaner. However, already astronomical oil rates keep rising and more has to be done, especially because the majority of our oil is sourced from abroad.
If a car that runs on hydrogen and the burning of oxygen started to be a reality, that would minimize our dependence on foreign oil suppliers and possibly bring about that blissful state where we didn’t need them at all. Does it appear too good to be real to use common tap water to run your car? Experiments are presently being performed on cars powered by means of hydrogen, by both Chevy and Ford motor companies. Expect a massive waiting list as soon as their hydrogen-powered vehicles are finally released, many years from now.
